July has swept in with a burst of sunshine and the promise of long, laughter-filled evenings here in the Pacific Northwest. The 4th of July has come and gone, which, as every local knows, means summer is officially in full swing! As we dive into the season of backyard barbecues, porch sipping, and endless blue skies, our family and the entire Village Wines team want to thank you for being the heart of our community. Your support and enthusiasm keep our spirits high as we navigate the adventures of 2025 together.

Bordeaux-Inspired Beauties: July’s Wine Club Highlights

This month, we’re celebrating the timeless elegance of Bordeaux with a lineup that brings together the best of French tradition and Northwest innovation. Whether you’re a red devotee or a white wine wanderer, July’s club allotment is sure to delight your palate and inspire your summer gatherings.

Red Wines: Bold, Beautiful, and Unforgettable

Kevin White Winery Heritage Dubrul Vineyard

A true gem for collectors and enthusiasts, this small-production red (just 172 cases made!) showcases the legendary Dubrul Vineyard. Expect a wine that’s both elegant and expressive, with notes of ripe plum, cherry, and a whisper of earthiness. Each glass tells the story of its unique terroir—perfect for savoring with friends or saving for a special toast.

White Wines: Crisp, Clean, and Summer-Perfect

Our team loved tasting these wines, and we think you will too. They pair beautifully with seafood, fresh salads, or just relaxing on the porch with a glass in hand. Lisa and the whole Village crew give them two enthusiastic thumbs up!

Savoring Walla Walla’s Finest at Village Wines

Welcome to a Month of Storybook Sips

There’s something magical about June in the Pacific Northwest.  The air is sweet with sunshine, the days are long, and the evenings invite us to linger a little longer, glass in hand. This month, our Village Wines Wine Club is all about celebrating that magic with four unforgettable bottles.  These bottles are from the heart of Walla Walla. Each wine in your June allotment has a story to tell, and we can’t wait for you to taste every chapter.

This is a wine that pairs beautifully with blackberry-glazed ribs or a hearty pasta Bolognese   However, it’s just as lovely as the star of a quiet evening on the porch.

Walla Walla Vintners Cabernet Sauvignon:

A Symphony of Summer and Spice

The 2022 vintage at Walla Walla Vintners reads like a suspense novel: a chilly, uncertain spring, followed by a summer that brought the vines back to life.  Not to mention an October that delivered four perfect weeks for ripening. The harvest was intense—70% of the fruit arrived in just three weeks!—but the reward was worth every moment.

This Cabernet Sauvignon is a generous storyteller. Its aromas are layered: blue and black fruits, a swirl of vanilla and dark chocolate, and hints of roasted red pepper and sage. With each swirl in the glass, new characters emerge—cedar, graphite, and fresh herbs. The palate is richly textured, framed by dense, balanced tannins, and the finish is as polished as a well-told tale. This bottle is proof that great wine, like great stories, is meant to be shared.

Amavi Cellars Sémillon:

The Essence of Summer in a Glass

If summer had a flavor, it might just be Amavi Cellars Sémillon. Clean, refreshing, and impossibly drinkable, this white wine is tailor-made for sunny days and cool evenings. It’s the kind of bottle you reach for when friends drop by unexpectedly.  Or when you want to treat yourself to a moment of pure, uncomplicated joy. Pair it with seafood, salads, or simply a view of the sunset—this Sémillon shines in every setting.
